CoVi technologies enhances high definition video surveillance systems

CoVi Technologies, Inc., the world leader in High Definition video surveillance solutions, has announced enhancements to its Crystal HD High Definition Video Surveillance System. Crystal HD is the world's first and only IP-based surveillance system to integrate cameras, recording, storage, monitoring and IP network management in an IT-friendly Security Camera Area Network (SCAN). Crystal HD release 2.0 provides customers with increased storage, improved network utilization and enhanced picture quality. Some of the new features are, Camera-based Video Motion Detection (VMD) that enables alerts generated on detection of motion in designated areas and schedule-based and event-based MultiStream (TM) recording which enables users to select the level of video quality needed for monitoring and recording. In addition features like improved video stream compression and storage, enhanced monitoring and management functions, PAL and NTSC mixed camera support etc.

Crystal HD is set to be adopted by security professionals in key applications like critical infrastructure protection, banking fraud, robbery surveillance, education, medical, retail, travel and transportation.
