3rdi to launch first mobile phone based security system in UK

3rdi a provider of mobile security camera solutions, is all set to launch, the first mobile phone-based security system named ‘3rdi Secure’ in the UK. With this system consumers can view live video of their possessions and property from their mobile phones, using mobile GPRS camera. The offerings of 3rdi’s includes mobile phones, camera, back-office billing and interoperable platforms. 3rdi Secure is the first mobile-phone based security system. It is based on a small camera that can be positioned anywhere around the home and the system detects when an intruder has entered the house, using infrared and motion sensors.

On triggering the alarm the 3rdi control center will send a text message alert to the user’s mobile phone. A recording of the event that set the camera off or what's happening at that time can be viewed. Images are stored at the 3rdi control center for up to 30 days. In addition, the cameras can be viewed from any location around the world by multiple phones.
